Design 1686 Aurora

This large motoryacht was built by Cantiere Navale Apuania of Italy and launched in 1961. She is based on a hull that was extensively tank tested at the Davidson Laboratory at Stevens Institute. She is powered by twin Mercedes Benz V-12 diesels generating 1,350 hp each at 1,500 rpm for a top speed of 20 knots.
